Marianna Dobkowska

Marianna Dobkowska curates exhibitions, projects and residencies, edits and designs publications and manages production of new artistic works at the Center for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw. Since 2004 she’s affiliated with the Artists-In-Residence Laboratory program at CCA Ujazdowski Castle, first residency program established and regularly operating in Poland. She was a curator and manager of the two year long Polish-Norwegian design and research based project „Rooted Design for Routed Living. Alternative design strategies” and assistant manager of „Re-tooling Residencies”. Dobkowska’s recent curatorial projects include solo show of American artist Jesse Aron Green „The Allies” and cycle of exhibitions of young Ukrainian artists „Transfer” at the CCA Ujazdowski Castle. During her residency at Residency Unlimited she will focus on research in the field of socially and politically sensitive art practices and investigate the modes of work of grassroots initiatives and programs in New York.

Her residency at Residency Unlimited, New York is made possible through funds from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, Poland, as a part of “Młoda Polska” grant program.
