Contemporary Art in Istanbul [Volume 02] concentrates on Contemporary Art in Istanbul developed in close collaboration with the artist Necla Rüzgar living in Ankara and Istanbul. Entitled Keep On Keeping On / Devam Etmeye Devam, TREIBSAND’s [Volume 02] presents thirty-three works by artists from different generations that raise questions about the history of the future, justice, and ways of co-existing »»» Searching for artists sharing these thoughts, we found a kaleidoscope of diverging works. We orchestrated a scenario for the DVD that can be seen as moving from room 1 to room 33. Keeping On Keeping On reflects different spirits. Each work embraces the rhythm and mood of the previous work as it builds up to move into the next. Tension rises and falls as the closeness, darkness and gloom of one work connects to freshness and openness making us realize that by day everything may appear to be one way while by night another. Thus, Keep on Keeping On presents unrelated works that when shown together bring traces of the decade into a dialogue »»» [Volume 02] will be released the 2nd of November, 2012, in SALT Galata Istanbul.
