Rocio Sanchez Rodriguez is a dancer also interested in Arts Administration and Cultural Management. She began her career in her native Cadiz, Spain, where she graduated with a major in Classical Spanish Dance at the Professional Dance Conservatory and got her BFA in Advertising and Public Relations at the University of Sevilla. For several years, while performing with different dance companies, Rocio worked for Noletia SL.- a Theater Management company – where she worked in production and got to enjoy the behind-the-scenes world. Being awarded a scholarship by the government of Spain in 2009, Rocio came to New York – NYU where she graduated in May 2011 with the MFA in Dance and a Yoga Teaching Certification. During her internship with RU, Rocio is assisting the artist in residency Amelia Saul with workshops for kids at Casita Maria Center for Arts and Education.
