Born in 1975 in Northern New York State, Jeff Grant has lived and worked in Providence RI, London England, and New York City, and for the past two years between NYC and Berlin. He has his BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design, 1998 and his MA in Fine Arts from Goldsmiths College, University of London, 2000.
Currently he is working on projects with German based architects yvsl.
Jeff Grant has had solo shows at Grimm/Rosenfeld Gallery in New York, Whitespace Gallery in Atlanta, GA, Andreas Grimm Gallery in Munich, Germany, and shown in group exhibitions at Team Gallery and Greenberg Van Doren Gallery in New York, and Dina4 Projekte in Berlin. In September will have a solo exhibition at LMAk Projects in New York and in 2012 at Cleopatras Gallery in Berlin.”
This residency is organized within the framework of Residency Unlimited’s partnership with the CJ Art Studio residency program in Cheonjgu, Korea. Central to RU’s mission is facilitating international residency opportunities for New York based artists with hosting institutions worldwide. In October 2011, Jeff Grant will spend 3 months at CJ Art Studio. This Korean residency program is affiliated to the Fine Arts Department at Chungbuk National University (Cheongju) where Iksong Jin is a professor.
