“As an art critic, I write for local art journals as well as lecture on "art theories" at universities in Taiwan. There is a gap between theory and practice, and the gap includes being different from the Western. In addition, the gap also involves some imagination of "internationalization". And the gap is often seen as "mistakes" when it comes to internationalization. However, what interests me most is how to treat the differences positively instead of modifying them. Under the circumstances, the mistakes even generate certain collective feelings which bring about a piece of work –"us". “
