Residency Unlimited

HELP SUPPORT NYC ARTIST RESIDENCIES!

Did you know that in addition to hosting international artists, Residency Unlimited (RU) provides residencies for NYC-based artists whose lived experiences, creative potential and voices have been systematically marginalized? In the spirit of RU’s partnership with the New York City Artist Safe Haven Prototype, a multi-organizational residency program that supports international artists at risk, RU is developing a residency geared towards NYC artists whose practices focus on storytelling that fills gaps in historical knowledge.

Please help us reach our end-of-year goal of raising $7,000. Your contribution will directly support four NYC-based artists who will receive a three-month residency in 2020. The residency includes a $1,000 stipend, critical support, introductions to and feedback from RU’s network of curators, critics and arts professionals, and a public program. The open call will launch in January 2020 and applications will be reviewed by a jury of arts professionals together with RU staff.

Underlying everything that we do at RU is the belief that art has the potential to build bridges and foster dialogue across cultures and countries. With your support, we can continue to provide local artists with stipends, professional development, networking, and a public program.

Thank you for your support!
