RU creates strategic partnerships that enable collaborating organizations to pull resources that are mutually beneficial. Connecting together actors and resources triggers greater impact than an individual or organization can achieve on its own. In particular, this methodology fosters flexibility and versatility to better reflect the needs of RU’s artists and curators in residency. They are mobile and can navigate between the RU event space and other venues in New York to produce and present work. Resources they can access include a variety of studio and gallery spaces as well as tailored production and technical assistance.
Working since 2009 with a group of core partners, RU continues to expand its network of collaborating institutions and a growing number of artists and curators both in the United States and abroad.
