Program Description:

Writer and academic lecturer Heather Ford, will lead a week long writing retreat set in the highlands of Sri Lanka. The retreat isn't tutored which means that your schedule is your own. We don't teach you how to write, or take you through exercises. This is about giving you the time, space and inspiration to get your project done

The retreat week is open for any creatives who need the time, space and quiet to focus on their projects.

There will be plenty of opportunities to go on walks in and around Amba Estate where the retreat is set each afternoon or just to carry on writing. There will be a main writing location set up on an outside yoga terrace but there are plenty of other tables available to write anywhere in the grounds or main bungalow. Every evening we'll gather for a soiree before dinner where we can share things we're writing, read poetry and/or listen to music. Being in the company of other writers is a great inspiration for writing and will provide you with energy and know-how for a productive time away.
