Open to artists, Architecture and Visual Arts students, Tintu è cu nun mancia a cassata pi Pasqua - A path to understand the Sicilian landscape is a workshop part of the collateral program of the independent project Cassata Drone. The workshop is based on a perceptive experience guided by the artist and researcher Gaetano Olmo Stuppia and the curator Giovanni Rendina through a dialogue with the Sicilian territory. The workshop is structured in a 253 km walk connecting the city of Sigonella to Palermo. Its aim is to study the Sicilian landscape and its urban development. In response, the workshop participants will create contents using several artistic media: writing, drawing, sculpture, video, photography and performance. The investigated topic is the interaction with the forms of the Nato Base Sigonella and its antropogenic impact on the territory in reference to history of architecture and the Sicilian myths. Tintu è cu nun mancia a cassata pi Pasqua is freely inspired by the theory of the situationist Dérive by Guy Debord and the Walkscape experiments by Osservatorio Nomade.
