Program Description:

Maine Farmland Trust's artist residency program, the Joseph A. Fiore Art Center at Rolling Acres Farm in Jefferson, is offering a unique, one-time residency position for a writer. The residency will span six weeks during July through September, 2017. The Historical Writing Resident is to research the history of Rolling Acres Farm and write the farm's story, in order to reconstruct the foundation of this unique place as Maine Farmland Trust continues to revitalize it and build upon it. The Historical Writing Residency is funded in part by a grant from the Maine Arts Commission, an independent state agency supported by the National Endowment for the Arts.

This position is open to candidates from the New England area. We will also accept applications from people living elsewhere with a strong connection to Maine.
