Program Description:

Groundwork is an online research residency designed to assist and support isolated artists in the development of their art practices.

Groundwork is meant to provide a platform for dialogue and the appropriate resources to isolated artists in the form of weekly video calls with our curator, and a guest curator or artist. Our goal is to connect artists, and create a network of support and collaboration: that is why artists will share the residency space with a co-resident.

- Two artists will be selected at a time, for a residency period of one month.
- Weekly calls will last for about an hour. During these calls, artists will be able to talk about their work, participate in crits, and discuss any topic of interest with their co-resident, the guest artist/curator, and N&F's curator.
- Artists will provide us with weekly updates to be published on our website and social media (updates can take many forms: voice clippings, photos, videos, text, etc.).
- Start date of the residency: Spring 2018 (exact date TBD)
