Ceramics, Painting and Writers Residency


Disciplines: Ceramics, Collaboration, Drawing, Fine art, Installation, Painting, Photography, Visual Arts, Writing.

Location: Baroda, Gujarat, India

Duration: 4-12 weeks

Eligibility: Practising Artists and Writers. Please send 10 images of your work, or 5 samples of your writing in case of writers, resume and a brief proposal.The residency s not output oriented, but a clear agenda is appreciated.

Support: material, interaction with local artists as well as university, an open studio at the end of the program

Costs: accommodation, residency fees


Program Description:

This is a residency based in the historical and culturally significant city of India, Baroda.

The residency invites application from artists who wish to spend time working on their own practice and interacting with fellow artists resulting in cultural exchange. Baroda is a Contemporary Indian art Hub with beautiful history of art , culture and architecture woven into the city.
It is ideal for artists, writers or photographers who need quiet time to explore their further practice or even take a break.

The city has over a 1000 practising artists, various art galleries and community art studios to explore.

The residency has a fully furnished ceramic studio and a painting studio which are equipped with all material.
It is also ideal for writers or photographers who which to explore the city or work on a project.

A fully furnished apartment with all modern amenities is available to stay at.
