Cassis Artist Residency 2017/2018: Open Call. All disciplines and all nationalities.

Location: Cassis, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, France

Duration: From 1 week to 4 months

Eligibility: Artists of all nationalities, all ages and all disciplines

Support: We provide support for artists in the process of their work (transport if needed, etc.), in organizing their working places. Artist are free to use all the facilities we have in the villa: a kitchen, a computer, a small library, spaces for work and for sleeping and others.

Costs: Payed by artist - Travel (We're ready to give you all the necessary support in applying to travel grants) - Supplies (help in getting the necessary supplies is provided) - Food (we have a kitchen and all necessary to cook) - 50€ per week (for electricity, heating, etc.)


Program Description:

Cassis Artist Residency is a cosy place in the French Riviera welcoming international artists of any nationality and working in different fields of artistic creation for a short or long periods of stay.

The invited artists are free to choose the period of their stay as well as the projects to work on during the residency.

We're open to receive artists collectives.

Outcome of the residency

We ask our artists to give a presentation of their work and to actively participate in all kind of discussions and events during their residency stay.
We encourage collaborations between artists and support development of new projects. But the artists are also welcome to work on their ongoing projects.


Cassis Artist Residency is situated in Cassis, the picturesque village next to France’s Calanques National Park.
We accommodate artists in a beautiful Mediterranean villa with a garden, a view to the sea and Cap Canaille cliffs, walking distance to the Calanques National Park.

Accommodation information

We have two private rooms with double beds
and two dormitories with bunk beds (one with 4 beds one with 6 beds). Possibility for maximum two people to share the 4 dorm and for max 3 people to share the 6 dorm.

Studio information

We don't provide studios, but we have a possibility to organize working spaces in the spacious living room and/or in the dormitories, as well as outdoors working places on the villa territory (garden, etc).

- Transportation inside and outside of the city in case of need

The villa is in a short walking distance from the city center of Cassis with local markets, shops, restaurants, cinema, etc.
