Le Ville Matte (deadline: February 28)

INTERNATIONAL OPEN CALL LE VILLE MATTE – visual arts

Opening of the call: 11 January 2010
deadline: 28 February 2010

Ten artists will be selected for the first edition of the residency program LE VILLE MATTE – visual arts, taking place in Sardinia in the town of Villasor, near Cagliari, in the former Convent of the Capuchins.
The residency program aims to create a group of ten national and international artists, offering them, for one month, space to develop their activity and material for their work and research.
During the residency, the artists will be coordinated by a visiting professor who will guide them in the study of the territory, focusing on specific themes to work on and supporting their research.
The works produced during the residency must have a strong connection to the territory and yet go beyond a local dimension.
The residency ends with the final show and with a publication documenting the works produced during the training and research period.
