From June 8 to July 28, 2019, and to accompany the opening of the MOCO Hotel collections scheduled for late June 2019, Montpellier Contemporary organizes 100 artists in the city , a major exhibition in public space in the summer of 2019 that will invest Montpellier (exhibition spaces, shops, cafés, walls, public places …). This urban journey focused on contemporary art links the three pillars of MOCO Montpellier Contemporain: the Hôtel des Collections, the La Panacée art center and the Ecole Supérieure des Beaux-Arts.
For the last day of 100 artists in the city – ZAT 2019, Mehryl Levisse will perform, Hôtesses, at the MOCO Collection Hotel.
Mehryl Levisse uses the body as a tool to create enigmatic and often baroque images and situations. At the MOCO Hotel des Collections, four figures, dressed from start to finish in extravagant costumes sewn entirely by the artist, roam the spaces to meet the public. As the performance progresses, the atmosphere becomes more and more surreal.
