Jorge Wellesley and Douglas Argüelles featured in “Kindred Spirits: Ten Artists by the Hudson”

Fewell Gallery, Coral Gables Museum (285 Aragon Avenue, Coral Gables, FL 33134 USA)
October 5 - December 9, 2018

This groundbreaking exhibition brings together 10 accomplished Cuban artists who live and work on the New Jersey shores of the Hudson River. Although they do not constitute a group or school with a specific aesthetic or thematic interest, many connections can be traced in their work. Most importantly, they are part of a vibrant enclave of Cuban intellectuals settled in the area who are shaping the conversation on Cuban art and Cuban identity in the North today.

Artists: Jairo Alfonso / Juan Carlos Alom / Douglas Argüelles / Kenia Arguiñao / Ariel Cabrera / Armando Guiller / Geandy Pavón / William Pérez / Danay Vigoa / Jorge Wellesley
