Miha Štrukelj (b. 1973) is a visual artist from Ljubljana, who represented the Slovenian pavillion at the Venice Biennial in 2009. He works primarily in painting, drawing and site-specific work. Strukelj explores the mechanism of perception and (de-)construction of images, examining the position of individuals in urban landscapes. He is a recipient of the Pollock-Krasner Foundation grant and the Henkel Drawing Award. His work is included in “Vitamin P; New Perspectives in Painting” by Phaidon Press. He was an artist-in-residence at ISCP and APT Studios in New York in 2009.
