Residency Unlimited is a new organization that fosters dynamic artist residency opportunities through the principle of creative collaboration. By partnering with organizations and individuals alike in New York and beyond, we pool our resources together to further the residency experience for the artists, and create an expanded network that is beneficial to all partners involved. While we place the creative process at the core of our mission, Residency Unlimited offers a de-centralized model that re-evaluates the notion and purpose of residencies today.
Within this collaborative framework, Residency Unlimited’s current initiatives include :
- Provide in-depth, customized support to emerging and mid-career artists in residency
- Set up and manage international art residency initiatives for local organizations.
- Curate project-based art residency initiatives across multiple platforms.
- Support local artists and curators seeking residency opportunities worldwide.
- Develop an online springboard for information and critical exchange on the evolving field of residencies today
Residency Unlimited Inc. is incorporated since June 2009, as not-for-profit corporation under the laws of the State of New York and is applying to be recognized as a not-for-profit, tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the United States tax code.
